Former Barcelona president criticizes Messi
The article focused on Juan Gaspar, the former Barcelona club president, attacking star Lionel Messi. Gaspar emphasized that Barcelona is much greater than Messi and that he should officially bid farewell to the fans at Camp Nou, regardless of changing presidents. He criticized the postponement of a farewell match for Messi and rejected Laporta's condition to attend, expressing his displeasure that his grandchildren prefer Tameem Lamine over Messi. Gaspar also launched a harsh attack on possible future actions by Messi, considering that his stance reflects the significant importance of Barcelona to Messi himself. The Spanish newspaper "Sport" responded to his statement, describing it as an unjustified attack on the club's legend, and confirmed that Gaspar’s comments seem to be an attempt to defend the current club management.
