Mohamed bin Sulaim on Rwanda's F1 hosting
Rwanda has announced that it will host the Formula 1 Grand Prix starting in 2030, following the completion of a new racing circuit in Gisenyi that meets Formula One standards. This is part of a developmental project encompassing sports, tourism, and infrastructure. This move marks a historic milestone in motorsports, as it is the first time since 1993 that Africa will host a race as part of the global championship. The initiative aims to promote the growth of motorsports on the continent, create a sustainable legacy, provide training and talent development opportunities, and boost tourism and investment in Rwanda.
