Flick's changes lead to surprise start for Barcelona against Galatasaray
Barcelona begins the Champions League season with a match against Galatasaray. Coach Hans Flick made many changes to the lineup compared to the previous game, and it is likely he will rely on an unstructured attacking line to give players freedom to interchange positions—especially following Raphinha's absence due to injury. The team started with a lineup featuring goalkeeper Juan García, four defenders, a midfield trio consisting of Rodri, Gavi, and Olmo, and an attacking line including Yamal, Gordan, and Fermin Lopez. Galatasaray's starting XI included goalkeeper Shaker, five defenders in the back line, a three-man midfield, and three forwards, with Ilkay Gündoğan and Leroy Sane on the bench. This match comes after Barcelona's 5-1 victory over Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray's 3-1 loss to Sporting Lisbon in the first round.
