Egyptian Journalist Leader Criticizes Hossam Hassan
The article highlights a new crisis between the Egyptian national team's coaching staff, led by Hossam Hassan, and members of the media community. Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan have filed reports against three sports journalists due to the publication of news and reports related to sports matters. This has sparked an angry response from the Journalists Syndicate, which emphasized the right of the press to criticize and evaluate and called for dialogue-based solutions. The statement reinforces that freedom of the press is a red line, and that handling professional disagreements should be conducted through official channels. It also urges the Football Association to communicate with Hossam Hassan to contain the crisis and avoid legal escalation, while the syndicate views legal attacks as a threat to media freedom and as encouragement for tighter restrictions on journalists.
