Rayo Vallecano's stadium surrounded by kite planes
The Spanish team Rayo Vallecano has been partially punished with the closure of their stadium for one match and a fine of 6,000 euros. This action comes after the team's fans threw paper airplanes, rubber balls, and small objects onto the field, which led to the cancellation of their match against Athletic Bilbao in the eighth stage of La Liga. The punishment is due to the fans' actions that caused disruptions to the game three times, along with intense protests from both supporters and players against the club's management and the deteriorating condition of the stadium and training facilities. This incident occurred especially after the team played its first home match of the season following urgent renovations, revealing poor maintenance of the stadium. The lease agreement with the authorities in Madrid is also expected to end soon. In addition to the stadium closure, the club was fined 6,000 euros, according to the incident report.
