Abu Dhabi Triathlon Introduces Community and Youth Events
Al Hadeeriyat Island will host the first edition of the Triathlon Multi-Sports World Championship in the Middle East, scheduled from November 13 to 22, 2026, with more than 4,000 athletes from around the world participating. The event will feature community races of short and long distances that are non-timed, as well as a special activity for children and youth aged 4 to 16, including swimming, cycling, and running races, aimed at promoting community engagement in triathlon. The championship also seeks to achieve sustainability through beach cleaning initiatives, obtaining a gold rating for sustainable event certifications, and launching an app that allows participants to track their progress and access event information. Registration for various competitions will also be open.
