Vinicius Responds to La Liga Referees
Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid expressed his discontent with the referees' treatment of him. He stated that he was suspended for four matches without doing anything deserving of such punishment, commenting on his sending-off in the match between Real Madrid and Villarreal, which his team won 4-3 in the Champions League. He pointed out that there is discrimination against creative players like Lamine Yamal and Julián Álvarez, and that he needs greater protection from the referees, especially since his statistics show he has been subjected to hundreds of fouls with few red cards. Additionally, Real Madrid coach José Mourinho criticized the timing of the announcement of the suspension before a crucial match, expressing his confidence that he will regain his form soon.
