Martínez expects quick return after jaw injury
Chelsea goalkeeper Emilio Martínez has confirmed that he will be ready to return to the pitch within a few weeks after recovering from surgery to treat a jaw fracture, which he sustained during a match against Everton. Martínez suffered a concussion and was hospitalized following a collision with Everton's defender during the game, which Chelsea won 2-0. The club management will replace him with the young goalkeeper Mike Pinders, who recently joined the team and appeared as a substitute in the previous match. Chelsea is currently in fourth place with 13 points, six points behind league leaders Manchester City.
