Yasser Al-Doukhi Highlights Syria's Cycling Revival
The combined Arab Cycling Championship hosted by Syria from October 2 to 13, after a 19-year absence, succeeded in strengthening efforts to develop Arab sports and refine the skills of cyclists through road, mountain, and adaptive sports competitions. The President of the Arab Union emphasized that the event reestablished fraternal ties among Arab countries and achieved organizational and technical successes, with notable results for the UAE team, which won 29 medals (16 gold, 9 silver, and 4 bronze). He also confirmed that Syria's return to hosting championships reflects the region’s ability to organize distinguished sporting events and contributes to expanding the base of practitioners of the sport.
