Al-Shenawy Discusses Ramadan-Al-Awlaqi Dispute
Film critic Tarek El Shenawy discussed the controversy sparked by Egyptian artists Mohamed Ramadan and Ahmed El Awadi regarding their social media posts, in the context of competition for the 2027 Ramadan drama season. He pointed out that such actions are often strategic moves to attract attention before the season begins, and that real competition should remain within the filming studios. He emphasized that the competitive atmosphere among artists should focus on their work and that there should be respect for the artistic side. He also highlighted the recent successes of Ramadan and El Awadi, noting that media tensions do not serve the interests of either the audience or the art itself.
