Scaloni's Role in 2030 World Cup
Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni is close to signing a new contract that will last until the summer of 2028, with the possibility of extending it for an additional two years, until 2030. This comes as part of negotiations with the Argentine Football Association, with expectations that the deal will be finalized during the November break. The new contract includes Scaloni's leadership of the team at the World Cup for the third consecutive time, having been in charge since 2018 and winning multiple titles with the team, including the 2022 World Cup, the 2021 and 2024 Copa América tournaments.
