Toney out, stand-in named
Englishman Ivan Toney missed Al-Ahli’s match against Al-Shabab in the Roshn League after appearing before Southwark Crown Court on Thursday in a case in which he is accused of assault. He was unable to join the team because of the short turnaround. Coach Marino Pusic selected Firas Al-Buraikan to lead the attack in his place, supported by Portuguese winger Francisco Trincão and Brazilian Matheus Gonçalves.
