Porro's Dream in Doubt
Pedro Porro’s dream of returning to La Liga faces two different obstacles, despite interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Tottenham Hotspur right-back. Real Madrid do not see him as a priority because the right-back position is already crowded, though their stance could change if Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves. Barcelona, whose president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco admire him, are constrained by the cost of the deal, the club’s financial troubles and financial fair-play rules. His return therefore does not appear imminent, while Barcelona are relying on internal options, including Xavi Espart.
