Al Qadsiah returns to Qatar after an absence of more than 32 years to face Al Gharafa in Doha in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite. The Saudi side will draw inspiration from its 1-1 draw with Al-Arabi in 1993, before knocking them out and going on to win the Asian Cup Winners’ Cup, becoming the first Saudi and Arab club to claim the title. Al Qadsiah has not lost any of its three previous continental meetings with Al-Arabi and Al-Sadd, and will hope to carry that positive record into its match against Al Gharafa. It sits seventh in the West region group, while its opponent is bottom of the standings without a point.
