Toney Slams Al Ahly Deal
The match between Al Ahli and Qatar’s Al Sadd ended in a goalless 0–0 draw in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite. The game featured an angry reaction from English striker Ivan Toney towards his Ukrainian teammate Artem Bondarenko. A widely circulated clip showed Toney shouting and making angry gestures at Bondarenko after he failed to move into the middle, as Toney had asked him to during a quick throw-in. The incident came as Al Ahli struggled to turn their chances into goals. Bondarenko has also faced criticism for his performances, but the article explains that Toney’s frustration appeared to be linked to that specific tactical situation.
