Al Hilal's strange swaps
The match between Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal and the UAE’s Shabab Al Ahli in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite featured a notable incident, as coach Simone Inzaghi made two substitutions within the first 34 minutes in Riyadh. In the 28th minute, he brought on Mohammed Mahzari for Sabri Dahal, even though Dahal had shown no signs of injury. Then, in the 34th minute, he sent on Nasser Al-Dawsari in place of Frenchman Simon Bouabré after Bouabré was injured. Al Hilal had taken the lead through Ollie Watkins’ goal in the sixth minute.
