The Dubai International Marine Club has announced the opening of registration for the first round of the Dubai Traditional Rowing Boat Race, in the 30-foot category, scheduled for next Saturday in Al Jaddaf. The race will feature an open heat for institutions and representatives of Gulf countries, and a local heat for UAE nationals and the children of Emirati mothers. If more than 25 boats enter, the organising committee will consider dividing the participants or taking other appropriate action. Al Jaddaf will host three rounds. The first will be followed by another round on 14 November, then the 30th edition of the Al Maktoum Cup for local rowing boats on 21 November.
