The dispute involving a Tamia Youth Center player and referee Hossam has been resolved. It began after Moatasem Mohamed posted a video on TikTok showing the Israeli flag over the referee’s photo and the Egyptian flag over his own, in protest against refereeing decisions. The player, his father, the center’s management and its chairman apologized to the referee, who withdrew his complaint. The center said it may impose a reduced suspension on the player, possibly four matches. Coach Amr Ahmed resigned in protest at the board’s apparent intention to remove the player from the team.
