Roshn Asian Cup Dilemma
The postponement of the 2027 Asian Cup shifted the tournament from 7 January–5 February to 23 December 2027–21 January 2028, creating an opportunity to reorganize the calendar and distribute rest and recovery periods. This may ease the fixture pressure complained of by Al-Ahli, Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr and Al-Qadsiah, but it will not eliminate it while multiple competitions and commitments remain. According to the article, these clubs’ results and their coaching staffs’ management of squad depth and injuries will come under greater scrutiny, as there will be less scope to explain poor results by pointing to a congested schedule.
