German coach Ole Werner, the former Leipzig manager, has returned to the list of candidates to take charge of Saudi club Al-Ahli, replacing Dutchman Marino Pusic. Reports say the club’s management wants to end Pusic’s contract because of the team’s poor results, though a financial obstacle remains. Werner had agreed in August to an initial offer worth €11 million a year, but later withdrew because he wanted to take a break. Pusic has overseen 18 matches with Al-Ahli, winning 11, drawing two and losing five.
