Omar Al-Somah scored his first goal since returning to the Syrian league, equalizing for Al-Wahda against Ahli Aleppo in the 70th minute after going four matches without scoring. Al-Wahda lost 3–2 at Al-Fayhaa Stadium in Damascus in the fifth round, after Hassan Dahan scored Ahli Aleppo’s winner in the closing minutes. Al-Somah returned to the Syrian league last September, following a professional career abroad that began in 2011.
