South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns will face USM Alger, the holders of the Confederation Cup, in Pretoria on Sunday for the African Super Cup title. Sundowns are seeking their second title in the competition, while USM Alger hope to claim a second triumph after winning it in 2023. The two teams qualified after Sundowns won the African Champions League and USM Alger lifted the Confederation Cup, defeating Zamalek on penalties. The winners will receive $500,000 and the runners-up $250,000, with total prize money up more than 130% compared with 2022.
