Algeria’s USM Alger hopes to repeat its 2017 feat, when it knocked out Egypt’s Al Ahly, as it faces South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in the African Super Cup final in Pretoria on Sunday. Sundowns qualified as winners of the CAF Champions League, while USM Alger reached the final after lifting the Confederation Cup. The South African side had beaten its Algerian rival in both of their continental meetings in 2020. The winner will receive $500,000, while the runner-up will take home $250,000.
