The cost of terminating the contracts of Hossam Hassan and his brother, Ibrahim Hassan, with Egypt’s national team is approaching 15 million Egyptian pounds. The compensation is equivalent to three months’ salary for the remainder of their contracts. Hossam Hassan’s monthly salary was estimated at around 3 million pounds before adjustments raised it to about 5 million. Reports say the Egyptian Football Association may pay the outstanding amount in three monthly installments. The decision is part of changes to the coaching staff, with Ali Maher set to be appointed as the team’s coach.
