Saud Abdulhamid, the right-back of the Saudi national team, will participate in the 2026 World Cup after being initially excluded due to his passport being stolen in the Netherlands, which delayed his joining the squad that had begun its camp in the United States. He will be excluded from the final list of 26 players, as the initial roster included 30 players, with non-Saudi players being exempted except for Saud Abdulhamid. It remains to be seen when he will join the team after resolving his issue, while the team's policy continues to rely on local players and domestic professionals in its previous World Cup appearances.
