The Madrid Club presidency elections have entered a new phase following the candidacy of Enrique Riquelme, who is the first candidate to run against the club president Florentino Pérez since 2009. Riquelme, a club member for over 20 years and a businessman with a wealth estimated at $497 million, promised to strengthen the team with global stars and implement administrative reforms. His campaign also included criticisms of Pérez's previous management, which he described as unprofessional. The elections will be held on June 7 to determine the future of the club, amid expectations that the results will shape the team's direction in the coming years.
