UEFA Champions League blocks PSG keeper from Egypt match
The head coach of the Russian national team decided to exclude Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Matvei Safonov from the team roster for the friendly match against Egypt, due to his potential participation in the UEFA Champions League final against Arsenal next Saturday. Safonov will also miss the subsequent games against Burkina Faso and Trinidad and Tobago, as he will be busy with his club's final. This decision came after a meeting between the coach and the player, where it was indicated that the issue is not related to fatigue, but rather to psychological unpreparedness after the final.
