Pochettino defends US squad reveal
The coach of the U.S. team, Mauricio Pochettino, defended his method of announcing the World Cup 2026 squad. He informed the selected players through a video message on WhatsApp and email, while only those who were not chosen were notified via email. This approach sparked widespread controversy, with some players describing it as "demonic," and acknowledging the difficulty of informing players of their exclusion. He also emphasized that the focus is on the final roster and declined to discuss specific cases of omission.
