Iran seeks FIFA help for US visas
The Iranian Football Federation has requested FIFA to facilitate Iran's team's visa approvals to enter the United States in order to participate in the 2026 World Cup, as they are experiencing difficulties in obtaining them due to the current circumstances. The team is competing in Group C alongside Egypt, Belgium, and New Zealand, with matches held in the United States. However, they have moved their training sessions to Mexico to avoid visa complications. Iran is scheduled to play against New Zealand on June 16, 2026.
