Solbakan Criticizes Scotland's Cancellation Approach
The Norwegian national team coach, Stale Solbakken, criticized his Scottish counterpart, Steve Clarke, after a friendly match scheduled between the two teams in North Carolina was canceled due to player injuries. He stated that the conduct was unprofessional. Meanwhile, Clarke downplayed the disturbances, pointing out that the match was a training session and that they decided not to risk players after minor injuries. The cancellation sparked outrage among Norwegian players, particularly forward Alexander Sörloth, who described the decision as shameful and unprofessional. Norway is preparing to participate in the World Cup with a match against Iraq, while Scotland is set to play against Haiti.
