Takeover Halts Club Elections
The article concerns the potential plan to cancel the elections of the boards of directors of Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, and Al-Ittihad clubs in Saudi Arabia, amidst a trend towards putting the clubs owned by the Public Investment Fund up for sale. This move aims to facilitate acquisition processes and expedite the sale procedures, with the future of the current administrations remaining contingent on the acquisition process, as new investors may choose to retain or change the management according to their vision. This change is part of a broader strategy to privatize and invest in Saudi football clubs.
