Filipino Jacob wins Mind Chess Challenge

Filipino Austin Jacob won the Mind Challenge Chess Championship for the United Players category, organized by the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club under the auspices of the Sharjah Sports Council. The tournament featured 10 players from 8 different countries. Jacob scored 5.5 points out of 9 rounds, surpassing Yemeni Bisher Alqdimi and Azerbaijani Hamidovullah Fardi, who tied with him in points and were awarded the silver and bronze medals, respectively. The tournament was marked by strong competitions and a closely matched skill level, aimed at developing players’ abilities and honing their skills through international competition.
