The Iranian Football Federation accused the United States of withdrawing the portion of World Cup tickets allocated to Iranian fans, which hindered their ability to attend the matches just days before the tournament's kick-off. The federation explained that international regulations indicated that 8% of tickets for each match were to be distributed to the participating teams, but their share was unexpectedly withdrawn, preventing Iranian fans from attending the games. There has been no official comment from FIFA or the United States. This situation occurs amidst tensions between Iran and the United States regarding Iran's participation in the tournament.
