Syria and Saudi Arabia signed a new agreement on air transport aimed at strengthening cooperation in civil aviation and updating the work program established between the two countries in 2007 in accordance with the open skies principle. This agreement is considered an important step in developing aviation relations and connecting Syria with its Arab and regional surroundings, with an emphasis on the fact that the Saudis represent a strategic market for travelers, Hajj, and Umrah. Developing air connectivity will contribute to boosting tourism, trade, and investment between the two nations.
