Syria is preparing for a wave of atmospheric instability starting from Friday afternoon, August 28, and continuing until the evening of Monday, August 31, with its peak occurring between Saturday morning and Sunday evening. The situation includes thunderstorms that could be heavy, with cumulus clouds and thunderstorm cells, as well as the possibility of hail and strong winds in specific areas, especially along the coast, the northwestern regions, and the western parts of the central areas. This weather event poses risks from high winds, and it is advised to secure loose objects. Special warnings are issued for fishermen along the coast due to the potential formation of a "sea dragon." This event follows an exceptional weather wave on August 14 that caused floods and road closures due to the influx of cold air from the eastern Mediterranean.
