Tensions erupted in the town of Jadida Artooz in the Damascus countryside following a dispute between local residents and some individuals from Deir Ezzor province. The conflict escalated into fights and gunfire, prompting security forces to intervene and impose a curfew to prevent further escalation. The incident began with an attack on a house belonging to a Deir Ezzor clan, which led to gatherings and clashes involving the use of weapons and sticks, accompanied by gunfire. No official casualty figures have been released yet, but authorities emphasized the need for calm. By Friday morning, the situation returned to stability, with security measures remaining in place.
