The National Commission for the Missing launched the "Athar" program for reporting missing persons, with the aim of establishing a unified national registry for the missing and facilitating the reporting process in a secure and organized manner. The program allows families to register their loved ones' information through a temporary electronic form, along with the opening of field centers in various governorates to assist those who face difficulties using digital means. The initiative aims to support search efforts and uncover the fate of the missing individuals, while emphasizing the protection of personal data. It represents an important step towards organizing the missing persons issue in Syria and providing an official and reliable channel for families, especially on the International Day of Enforced Disappearances.
