The exams for the Basic Education and Secondary Education certificates have begun in the Sweida province. However, local factions have prevented, for the second consecutive day, hundreds of students from reaching the examination centers in the northern countryside, leading to most of the registered students not participating in the exams. Civil defense teams and the Syrian Red Crescent continue their deployment to ensure students’ safety and the continuity of the exams. This comes after a decree was issued by the interim president, Ahmed al-Sharae, granting an exceptional session for the students, but restrictions and violations have stopped the majority from taking part in the examinations.
