The visit of Syrian Minister of Information Khaled Zaarour to Riyadh focused on strengthening cooperation between the Syrian News Agency "SANA" and the Saudi News Agency "SPA." The meetings addressed the development of media infrastructure, exchange of expertise, and enhancing the capabilities of personnel through joint training programs, especially via "SPA Academy." Additionally, they reviewed SPA's operational systems, digital experiences, and multilingual media, following the Saudi Cabinet’s approval of a memorandum of understanding signed by both agencies in December 2025, aimed at boosting news cooperation and media production techniques between the two countries.
