Aleppo Restores 134 Schools for 65,000 Students

The Governor of Aleppo, Azzam Al-Ghreib, announced the reopening of 134 schools in the governorate to serve more than 65,000 students. This initiative aims to support the return of education and stability in areas that were displaced over the past years. This step is part of ongoing efforts to rehabilitate the education sector, involving work on over 610 schools out of a total of 3,421 schools in the governorate since the city was liberated. The goal is to provide a safer learning environment and motivate families to return to their areas. Reopening schools is considered a key step in restoring the essentials of life, alongside the recovery of electricity, water, healthcare, and road services, all of which help promote stability and rebuild the damaged infrastructure.
