The Syrian Minister of Energy inaugurated the Al-Laj Water Station in Idlib countryside after a complete rehabilitation of its water and operational systems, aiming to improve drinking water supplies for more than 35 villages and towns inhabited by approximately 300,000 people in the Mount Zawiya area. The rehabilitation included reactivating 19 wells with an average capacity of nearly 50 cubic meters per hour per well, updating the solar energy systems, and connecting them to the national electrical grid, thereby enhancing operational stability and increasing water pumping reliability. The project seeks to restore the system's readiness and improve the continuity of water access, to strengthen water supply stability and enhance the residents' quality of life in the region.
