An unusual incident occurred on a flight operated by American Airlines when passengers had to take control of a 67-year-old traveler after he became involved in a fight onboard. Three passengers restrained him by taping him to his seat with adhesive tape and securing him with plastic straps after he started shouting, hurling racist and anti-LGBTQ insults, and assaulting passengers and crew members. The flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Baltimore, where he was taken into custody by the police. He is currently facing charges of assault and disrupting the peace, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the possibility of additional charges.
