Iran plans to establish a "restricted maritime zone" in the Gulf and its surroundings in response to the American blockade and sanctions, according to Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary General Mohsen Rezaei. He indicated that Iran has fundamentally changed its operational approach toward American forces in the region and has received warnings about new Iranian missiles. These measures come amid escalating tensions following Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz and its threats to use force to prevent oil from passing through the area, as well as its announcement that its economic war will be met with the creation of a restricted maritime zone along the Gulf.
