The Jordanian Border Guard forces began early Wednesday morning to intercept four attempts to smuggle large quantities of drugs using guided balloons along the eastern border. The balloons were brought down inside Jordanian territory, and it was confirmed that the attempts aim to exploit unconventional methods for drug trafficking. The operations resulted in the seizure of approximately half a million pills, and the confiscated items have been transferred to the relevant authorities for legal procedures. The Jordanian Armed Forces emphasized that the repeated attempts will not deter them from continuing their efforts to monitor the borders and combat smuggling operations.
