Today, the German Parliament witnessed a heated confrontation between Chancellor Friedrich Merz and the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party regarding the term "Remigration." Merz stated that what the AfD promotes under this concept is "ethnic cleansing based on color and origin," which sparked protests inside the chamber. Merz linked his stance to the labor market, warning of the impact the party's policies could have on millions of migrant workers in the sectors of trades, health, and hospitality.
