The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency has concluded its review of Syria’s non-compliance issue, after nearly 15 years of investigation into undeclared nuclear activities during the previous Assad regime. The member states unanimously adopted a resolution removing this item from the agenda, affirming Syria’s commitment to international standards and transparency, while recognizing its right to develop nuclear technology for peaceful purposes. This decision marks a significant milestone in the trajectory of Syria's peaceful nuclear program and reaffirms Syria’s right to utilize nuclear science to serve national development.
