The residents of the villages of Jabal Az-zawiya in Idlib countryside suffer from a severe lack of healthcare and medical services. The area lacks a hospital or a fully equipped emergency center that operates around the clock, forcing residents to travel distances of up to 50 kilometers to reach suitable treatment centers, especially in emergency cases such as accidents, bleeding, and urgent illnesses. Traveling to other areas like Ariha, Maarat al-Numan, or Idlib causes delays in treatment, increases costs, and endangers patients' lives—particularly during childbirth and emergencies. The most important proposal is to establish a fully equipped emergency center that operates 24/7, staffed with doctors, nursing personnel, and ambulances, to improve response times and reduce risks caused by delays in treatment.
