The Wihda Foundation is launching the "Al-Iqtisadiyah" magazine as a specialized platform that combines a bi-monthly printed publication, an electronic platform, and an economic indicators center. Its goal is to interpret and study economic shifts in Syria through analytical analysis of numbers and indicators. The project aims to link government decisions with their immediate impacts on citizens’ lives, covering broad topics such as food, prices, employment, energy, and industry, with the purpose of providing analytical content that helps understand the causes of changes and their effects. The magazine faces challenges such as data scarcity and a lack of specialized journalistic staff; it seeks to address these issues by training personnel and developing databases and indicators. There is also a plan to expand field coverage through forums and offices in the provinces to achieve a greater impact in delivering and analyzing information over time and across sectors. The magazine aspires to become a reference for analyzing the Syrian economic situation, building tools that help readers understand the transformations and make informed decisions.
