Riyadh Airport Fire After Fifth Attack
King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was subjected to several attacks over the past week, as an unknown projectile targeted Terminal 4, causing a fire to break out. Additionally, a cruise missile of the "Kirooz" type was intercepted near the airport, amid ongoing military escalation between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi group since July 2023. The attacks resulted in 15 fatalities and hundreds of injuries. Authorities have not claimed responsibility; however, the Houthis have announced targeting the airport with a ballistic missile. These developments come within the context of escalating military operations between the two sides following several attacks on Saudi facilities since March 2015.
