Floods sever Syria cables
Flooding in Deir ez-Zor damaged the main fiber-optic cables connecting the governorate to Homs and Aleppo, disrupting communications. Technical teams repaired some of the faults, while floodwaters prevented access to other sites. Maintenance work continued in coordination with teams from Raqqa and Aleppo to address an additional fault on the Deir ez-Zor–Hali line.
